Initial Disclosure Document

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is the independent regulator of financial services. The FCA require us to provide you with a documents called an “Initial Disclosure Document”. This document provides information about us, the services we offer, the services we will provide, what we charge for our services, who regulates us, what to do if you have a complaint and details about the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

Who are we?

www.evleasing.co.uk is a trading style of MD Asset Finance Ltd, Company Registration Number SC42710. We are an independent vehicle finance broker and not a lender. As such we have relationships and offer products and services from a variety of reputable lenders and vehicle suppliers. Our registered office is 88 Cambuslang Road, Glasgow, G73 1BQ.

What services do we provide?

We will provide you with either comparable details of firms most appropriate to your lending or purchase. We will seek such information about your personal circumstances and objectives as might be relevant in order to enable us to identify your needs. It is important that you provide us with accurate and relevant information. You will not receive advice or a recommendation from us, but we may ask questions to narrow down the selection of products offered, from which you can make your own choice.

Whose products do we offer?

As a credit broker we can introduce you to a number of lenders who may be able to help you finance your vehicle or asset and provide other products/services.

Do we charge for our services?

We charge £187.50 + VAT (£225 inc VAT) for our broker related services. MD Asset Finance Ltd t/a www.evleasing.co.uk will require you to pay the fee of £187.50 + VAT which will reimburse our costs in connection with acting for you as a broker, processing your application, sourcing and securing your preferred vehicle. This sum will be payable once your finance has been approved and your vehicle has been ordered. The fee will be payable by direct bank transfer (BACS) to MD Asset Finance Ltd’s bank account or through the payment link on the invoice we will provide.

Cancellation Charges

In the event of cancellation, whereby a vehicle has been purchased in accordance with your instructions, we may charge a cancellation fee of £200 + VAT. Full details of our cancellation charge is set out in our Customer Order Form. We will also provide you with details of your right to cancel without penalty should you not enter into a regulated agreement with 6 months of introduction.

Other Finance Facilities

It may be possible to obtain finance for your vehicle/asset from other lenders/suppliers and you are well within your rights to seek alternative quotations researching on the high street, in the media and also on the internet.

Commission Disclosure

We are a commission and fee based organisation which means that we may receive a commission from the finance provider or supplier should you decide to enter into an agreement with them. The commission we receive may be pre set or may vary depending on the type of product offered, manufacturer and the finance company used, and may therefore impact the monthly rental that is payable. If you are a consumer, sole trader or small partnership, you are entitled, at any time, to request information regarding any commission we have recieved as as result of placing your business with a finance provider. If we do not know the exact amount of commission, we will provide you with the likely amount.

Who regulates us?

MD Asset Finance Ltd t/a www.evleasing.co.uk is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA FRN Number 949276) We act as a credit broker, not a lender for the introduction to a limited number of lenders. Other services we offer are not regulated by the FCA. However, the Financial Ombudsman Service has now been extended to handle some complaints under the Consumer Credit Act.

Confidentiality & Data Protection

We will keep your details in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) Our ICO number is ZA553875. We may use your personal data to check your credit record with credit reference agencies and for fraud prevention purposes. We will never sell your details to other organisations and will always seek your authority prior to submitting your data to any lenders on our panel.

All complaints received are treated with confidentiality and in accordance with the requirements of data protection legislation. We will always strive to investigate your complaint and resolve it promptly and fairly. However, if you are unsatisfied with how we respond to your complaint, you may have the right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. You must do so within 6 months of our final response.

BVRLA Conciliation Service

As we are a Leasing Broker member of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA), any unresolved disputes may be referred to them, either by the customer or by MD Asset Finance Ltd t/a www.evleasing.co.uk.

The BVRLA will aim to resolve the matter using the information presented by both parties to the dispute. Any information requested from them should be sent to the BVRLA within five working days. Based on the information available, the BVRLA will provide both partied with its findings and recommendations.

The BVRLA aims to resolve complaints through the Dispute Resolution Service within 30 days.

As members, we must comply with the Dispute Resolution Service’s findings.
